Wednesday, April 9th: Jeremy Facknitz

From his website:

Jeremy Facknitz’s new album is titled Smilin’ At The Future, a caption from his high school graduation photo in the hometown newspaper. If the songs smile at the future, it’s not idealism but a need to transcend the struggle of the present and the wounds of the past. This is the sixth record by the two-time Kerrville Grassy Hill New Folk Songwriting Competition finalist, and it’s his strongest songwriting and most imaginative music yet. Facknitz describes his music as “indie rock with a made-for-the-theatre twist. I’m a singer-songwriter, but I’m not 3 chords and the truth - I’m 8 to 15 chords and poetic cynicism. Less like John Prine and Townes Van Zandt - more like Elvis Costello and Lin Manuel Miranda.”

You can the hear song's from his newest album at his website. Scroll to the bottom of his home page.

Check out this highly relatable song. Well, relatable for some of you. My hair hasn't gone grey yet.

Saturday, November 8th: Scott White

Scott's webpage: https://www.scottseanwhite.com/home

From Scott White:

I make my home in the small town of Poetry, TX, and split my time between there and Nashville as a staff songwriter for a publishing company. In between writing trips, I play house concerts and listening rooms all over the country, touring 120-150 dates a year. My shows are half story-telling because I have a lot of stories to tell :-) I don't tell you what the song is about because if I wrote the song right - the song will take care of that. But I DO tell you the story of how the song was born. The real life that was happening when the first lines or notes came out. And if I do it right - I WILL make you laugh and I WILL probably make you cry, hopefully in equal amounts! I'll also mix in some songs I've written for folks like Cody Johnson, Bryan Martin and others - and tell you how they got heard and recorded. You'll hear some insights and inside info on how the "machine" in Nashville works - the good and the bad - as well as what this "life" of being a full-time songwriter looks like. You won't know me much at all when I walk in, but you'll know me pretty well by the time I leave.

Now for a quick summary of the “usual” bio stuff… My newest album, "Even Better On the Bad Days," debuted at #1 on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart the day it came out earlier this year, and it was produced by Grammy nominated Dave Brainard, who was nominated for his work on Brandy Clark's landmark album "12 Stories." My first album, "Call It Even," climbed to #3 back in 2021. I've played legendary venues like The Bluebird Cafe, Eddie's Attic, Saxon Pub, Main Street Crossing, Dosey Doe The Big Barn, Poor David's Pub, and I've been a regular performer at the Key West Songwriter Festival for the last 6 years and Nashville Nights festival in Denmark for 3 of the last 4 years. And oh yes - I was a Kerrville New Folk Finalist back in 2019.

Day of the show:

Tuesday, January 20th, 2026: The Janzen Boys

The Janzen Boys webpage: https://www.thejanzenboys.com/

From The Janzen Boys website

The Janzen Boys have been playing music together since the very beginning, but it started as “The Janzen Boys” shortly after they moved back to Canada from Japan in 2012. They’re a rootsy, harmony-singing folk trio from Winnipeg, Manitoba, consisting of brothers Simon and Mick, and father JJ. Whether they’re playing at music festivals, theatres, venues, or intimate house concerts, they’ll have you laughing, crying, and singing along to classics that you know and love, and catchy original tunes that’ll be stuck in your head for days!

Day of the show:

Saturday, March 28th, 2026: Joe Kelly

Joe Kelly's webpage: https://joekellymn.com/

From Joe Kelly's website:

With a genre-blending style that seamlessly intertwines pop, rock, and folk, Joe Kelly's music has been aptly described as "Jason Mraz on a sedative" – a testament to his ability to craft melodies that are both soothing and infectious. Hailing from the heart of Minnesota and armed with an acoustic guitar, soulful vocals, and a loop station, he creates a rich tapestry of sound in his live performances that envelops audiences in a fuller, more immersive experience. While his discography currently includes two independent EPs, fans anticipate his upcoming folk-pop debut album, Cartoons on the Weekend, slated for release in 2026.

Day of the show:

By creating an email list of people that are interested, I hope to inform people about upcoming events that they would enjoy.

My intention is to find 40-70 people that are excited to attend for each show. That is the number of people that I think utilizes the space well, ensures that the artists can make some money, and creates an intimate feel for the show. By joining the email list, you can hear about the shows as I schedule them and be reminded to reserve your spot. I will monitor the list of people that have indicated their intention to attend. If the number of people that have RSVP'd reaches the limit, I'll send out a notification that the event is full and close the reservation form.
